Our Approach
Artifact Creative’s extensive K–12 curriculum has many components, including digital lessons, demonstration videos, printed support material for students and parents, and assessment and project options. And this comprehensive courseware is held together by a singular purpose: to enrich students’ lives through the arts and humanities.
> Please watch our video to learn more about how we celebrate the arts.

To better understand our approach, here’s a clear overview of our purpose (our why), our process (our how), and our products (our what).
Our Why
We strive to create learning experiences that are engaging, accessible, and empowering.

-
Our material is thoughtfully designed to foster curiosity and to engage students with a wide range of topics in the arts and humanities.

-
Our content focuses on exposing students to content with lessons that are accessible, meaningful, and relevant to their lives.

-
Our curriculum empowers students in any educational setting to gain a deeper sense of their own abilities and to appreciate how the arts continue to influence the cultures of the world.
Our How
We bring our purpose to life by celebrating different modalities of learning, connecting the arts to other subjects, and promoting social and emotional development.
-
We support students’ multiple intelligences—different ways of thinking, learning, and problem solving—by presenting content in various ways and offering options for reinforcing, assessing, and expanding the content.

-
We help students see the relevant and ever-present value of the arts through both arts-focused and arts-integrated lessons.

-
We look for every opportunity to support students’ social and emotional learning by helping them explore human connections and encouraging self-reflection and self-expression.
Our What
We offer comprehensive curriculum and materials with purposeful content and beautiful, clear designs so students can enjoy learning about the arts and humanities.
-
Our elementary and middle school courses provide integrated experiences in multiple forms of art, including music, the visual arts, the performing arts, creative writing, communications, and media.

-
Our high school humanities electives are cross-curricular courses that celebrate language, history, and the arts, with offerings like world stories and classical mythology.

-
All of our courses present age-appropriate content in clear, sequential lessons so students can build lasting skills and gain a deep, meaningful understanding of the material.
Note: Full credit for the “why, how, and what” approach goes to business leader Simon Sinek. His 2009 book Start with Why, along with his popular TED Talk, present his ideas about the importance of starting any endeavor with a clear and unwavering purpose. This allows a company, organization, team, or family to build out their decisions and actions (their “hows”), which informs the outcomes in their day-to-day lives (their “whats”). Sinek says starting with a defined and foundational purpose leads to greater and more meaningful results, and Artifact Creative couldn’t agree more!
