Course Description
The Stories from Around the World course is geared to ages 13-18. In its 90 lessons, students are guided through a study of nearly 30 fables, myths, legends, and wonder stories from every continent, along with an analysis of how humans have always used symbols to share ideas and information. The content has been thoughtfully chosen, with engaging narratives that will improve literacy skills, develop empathy and perspective-taking, build cultural competence, and spur both critical and creative thinking. The visually rich online lessons correlate to reading assignments in the textbook, and the student Notebook supports a deep understanding of the interesting, interdisciplinary material.
