Our secular courseware explores subjects in the arts and humanities and is designed to build skills, foster critical and creative thinking, and support social and emotional learning. Our approach is to help students gain an appreciation for both ancient and modern art and storytelling, and we explore world cultures as an academic study rather than to promote any religious teachings.

Every course includes a digital component and complementary printed pieces, and many of them incorporate art supplies or musical instruments. In the early levels of our curriculum, the parent or at- home teacher is encouraged to play an active role—helping students navigate the lessons, making use of the teacher’s guides, and exploring the activities right along with their student. The curriculum gradually encourages greater independence and allows for students to take the lead on their own creative learning. Our comprehensive courses are thoughtfully designed and are structured based on national standards. Yet they remain flexible, with multiple assessment and project options and creative ways to tailor the material to suit different instructional and learning styles.

The material in our curriculum is presented in multiple ways, with plenty of choices for learning and expression. Elementary students can interact with the video-led exercises and games at their own ability level, and the activities and projects can be tailored to suit their skills. The countless opportunities for hands-on and whole-body learning are designed to engage a variety of learners, and advanced students can be challenged with extension activities.

ArtsAlive! courseware is presented at levels that align with grade-level National Core Arts Standards and Common Core ELA Standards. Artifact Connect electives are geared toward high school students.
